Q: Where in Mexico will I be hunting?
A: Most of the ranches that we reserve for our hunters are in the vicinity of Hermosillo, Sonora.  Hermosillo is the capital of the state of Sonora in Mexico.  It is a large modern city complete with an International Airport.  Ranches are generally located a short 1-2 hours from the city or Hermosillo.

Q:How do I get to Hermosillo?
A: Hermosillo is easliy accessible by plane or personal vehicle.  Hermosillo International Airport provides Non-Stop service from Los Angeles, Phoenix and Tucson.
If you prefer to drive.... Hermosillo is a short 3-4 hour drive  directly South from Tucson.  The highway is well maintained and marked so that even those with no knowledge of Spanish can find their way with no problem.

Q: What documentation do I need to bring?
A: New United States law requires a valid U.S. Passport for re-entry.  Your Passport will serve as indentifacation to obtain a Mexican Travel Visa.
Q: What will I need to bring?
A: A sleeping bag, pillow, towel, personal items, rifle, ammunition and opitcs
Q: How many other hunters can I expect to see in my area?
A: Just those hunting with Sonoran Outfitters hunting at that time!  We buy the exclusive rights to hunt a particular ranch in a given year.  This means that you and your group will be the only ones hunting our ranches.

Q: How big are the ranches that I will have access to ?
A: Most of the ranches that we hunt are between 10,000 and 50,000 acres.  You and your party will have this area to yourselves with no interference to other hunters.

Q: What else can I expect when hunting in Mexico?
A: The laws for temporary importation of firearms are much stricter than in the U.S.  Legal hunting areas are defined by the ranch boundaries, and not State Game and Fish boundaries.  Gun Permits are to be kept with your gun at all times. There are other subtle differences when hunting in Mexico as well.  That said, this is where we come in.  We have the experiernce necessary to make your hunt enjoyable and hassle free.  We are with you every step of the way to ensure that you have no problems crossing the border, returning with your trophy, ect.  We have strong relationships with the wildlife officials on BOTH side of the borders.
